Kristie’s experience working at UF Health as a clerk and patient financial specialist for 10 years gave her insight into the importance of patient-centered care.
Meet Kristie Hill, a Gainesville resident who has dedicated to making a positive impact in the community for 16 years. Her journey has been marked by several challenges, including battling Chron’s disease and watching her parents struggle with cancer. Despite these obstacles, Kristie has persevered and found her calling in helping others.
Kristie’s experience working at UF Health as a clerk and patient financial specialist for 10 years gave her insight into the importance of patient-centered care. After taking a leave of absence due to her illness, she returned to work as a Citizen Scientist, contributing her experience to ensure research efforts are valuable and impactful to improving patient health outcomes.
Later, Kristie accepted a part-time administrative assistant position at the UF Health Cancer Center, where she continues to contribute to research efforts while also providing support cancer patients and their families. Kristie’s personal experience with illness and her parents’ battles with cancer have given her a unique perspective and a deep appreciation for patient-centered care.
