Angela Howard joined the Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics at the UF College of Medicine in August 2018 as a patient advisor for the ROSE project.
She has served as president of the Sickle Cell Disease Association of Florida, North Central Florida Chapter. With a background in community health, Angela has worked with the UF College of Nursing as a research assistant on several studies for sickle cell disease.
Angela became a Community Scientist in December 2018 and currently serves on the Learning Health Systems and OneFlorida+ Executive Committee. Her areas of interest include cancer and pain management. She has collaborated on numerous studies and attended various research events, including the “Un-Meeting on Rural Health and Health Equity.”
In her free time, Angela enjoys reading, exploring nature parks, and spending time with her family.
